Interior Designer & Instructor

My Story

Hello! I'm Cory G.

“Success as an interior designer and illustrator wasn’t about flawless spaces. Instead, it came from using drawing to communicate boldly — with confidence.“

I started where most people do — doodling rooms in the margins of notebooks, rearranging furniture in my head before I ever touched a design program. Drawing was always how I thought, long before it became how I worked.

Over 15+ years, I developed a drawing style that merges fine art and functional design — one that lets me capture a client’s vision in minutes, not days. That style became the foundation for everything I now teach. “How does it look? — How does it function?”

Today, I split my time between real client work, creating interior design illustrations, and teaching students around the world how to draw, color, and present their ideas with the same confidence.

The Journey

How it all came together.

From design student to trusted online instructor — guiding your interior drawing, Procreate journey

01
The Early Years

Art school, sketchbooks, and a love for rooms

My creative path started with traditional art training — but I quickly realized I was less interested in painting for galleries and far more drawn to spaces, furniture, and the feeling a room could create.
02
Breaking Into Design

First clients, first lessons learned the hard way

I started taking on interior design work and quickly discovered that polished computer renders weren't always the fastest or most persuasive way to communicate an idea. A confident hand-drawn sketch, shown live in a meeting, often won the client.
03
Finding My Style

Developing a drawing language that was unmistakably mine

Over years of real client work — across model home design, hospitality, and residential projects — I refined a sketching style that balanced speed, accuracy, and personality. Clients started asking for it by name.
04
Going Digital

Discovering Procreate and the iPad

When I started drawing on iPad with Procreate, everything changed again. I could combine the warmth of hand-drawn work with the speed and flexibility of digital tools — and I knew other designers needed to see this was possible too.
05
Teaching Begins

From one-on-one mentoring to online courses

What started as informal advice to other designers turned into in-person instruction, structured tutorials, then full online courses. Watching students go from "I can't draw" to landing their first paid project became one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
06
Today

Coloring pages, courses, resources, and a growing creative community

Now I create interior design coloring pages, run online courses for designers and hobbyists alike, and share free tutorials every week. The goal hasn't changed — helping people see that creativity is a skill, not a born talent.

My Philosophy

What I believe about creativity.

Drawing is a skill not a gift

"I can't draw" is something most of us were taught, not something we were born believing. With the right approach, anyone can build real drawing confidence.

Drawing is a communication tool

A rough sketch can say more in thirty seconds than a finished rendering that takes hours. Drawing is how ideas move from your head to someone else's understanding.

Give yourself permission to try

Creativity grows when you let go. Drawing thrives on curiosity, not perfection — the more you experiment, the more your creativity expands
